PLEASE ALLOW 10 MINUTES TO WALK TO THE 6TH TEE

Conditions of Play

1. 36 holes Medal play for Holland Trophies.
2. Current handicap certificates must be produced before a competitor leaves the course at the close of the competition. Failure to do so will make a partnership ineligible for a prize.
3. Report to starter at least 5 minutes before tee off time - failure to start on time is covered by Rule 6-3, and Rule 33-1 applies (if a player arrives at her starting point, ready to play, within five minutes after her starting time the penalty incurred will be two strokes). The Committee at its discretion will take into account any reported major traffic problems in the area.
4. In the event of extreme weather conditions or the course being unfit for play the following signals will be used : 1 prolonged blast of the klaxon for suspension of play and two short blasts for resumption of play.
5. Approved ball must be played.
6. It is not permissible to use a distance measuring device.
7. A round of golf consists of 18 holes - order of play may be changed in the afternoon Rule 29.
8. All ties decided on a count back over the last 18, 9, 6, 3 and 1 holes on the card.
9. Tees for the day - RED MARKERS or BOXES.
10. The committee whose decision shall be final will settle any disputes.
11. Light lunch and evening meal provided. Coffee and biscuits available on arrival. Baps etc – cash sale.
12. A competitor withdrawing after the closing date must inform the organiser Lin Smith (Tel: 01954 710207). The organiser will then do her best to find a substitute pair of similar handicap. Entry fees are non refundable after the closing date unless a substitute is found.
13. The Competition Committee will monitor the pace of play and will take action under the Rules of Golf if players are considered to be delaying play. It is the duty of every player to keep up with the game in front and not just in front of the game behind.
14. Competitors with caddies requiring catering must contact Christine Wishart (Tel: 01487 711976) at least 7 days before the event.
15. Trousers and shorts must be tailored. Shirts must have a collar. Golf shoes can have metal or soft spikes. Jeans are not permitted. No shorts in the lounge/dining room in the evening. Please change for the evening meal.
