General Interclub Team Matchplay Conditions 2012

1. It is expected that all individual matches shall be played and every effort should be made to ensure this. No match may be conceded before the day of play and whole ties may not be conceded.
2. Players may shelter in bad weather and leave the course if necessary. If conditions allow, play should resume on the same day from the point of disruption. If resumption is impossible the results of completed matches stand but incomplete matches must be replayed over 18 holes. A club may alter its original team except that no player from a completed match may play. Captains shall be responsible for the decision to resume or call off play. Incomplete matches not replayed will be deemed null and void.
3. The Assistant Competition Secretary and the opposition should be informed when a buggy is to be used
4. All relevant General Competitions Conditions must be upheld.

The Jean Wilkinson Trophy - Finals at a Neutral Course in September

1. Inter-Club league with Club Team to consist of seven players drawn from three handicap ranges and played off scratch (two from 10-16, three from 17-22, and two from 23-35)
2. All players must have a certified CONGU handicap and can only represent one Club in the competition.
3. County First Team players for the current and previous season are not eligible to play
4. The matches may be played in any order within the handicap band. Any team member not present by 30 minutes after the first tee time, should concede her individual match to the opposition
5. All matches shall be played under normal match play rules. The winning margin of each match to be recorded, but only used if teams are tied on completion of group matches.
6. Only Captains have the authority to call players in from a match still being played when overall result already settled from other matches. The result of the conceded match to be whatever the state of that match was at time of the concession
7. Two points for a win, two points for a concession or a walkover, and one point for a half. If an individual match is conceded without being played, two points to the opposition, but no winning margin.
8. If more than six Clubs enter the Competition, they may be drawn into groups at the discretion of the Committee
9. Details of the draw will be issued around July for the following year. All group matches must be played before July 31st. If a group is tied after winning margins accounted the Assistant Competition Secretary must ensure that a deciding match is arranged on a neutral course.
10. Results must be sent immediately after playing to the Assistant County Competition Secretary
11. The semi-finals and final will be played under normal match play rules on a neutral course during September
12. The rules of this event are subject to alteration if more Clubs enter
13. There will be someone either in the clubhouse or on the course to make a decision if required on the day of the semi-finals and final
14. The Jean Wilkinson Trophy presented by Mrs J Wilkinson in 1983 awarded to the overall winners
15. Runners-up Trophy presented by Mrs P Parker in 2003 awarded to losing finalists
