ALISON CUNNINGHAM TROPHY AND MANSFIELD SALVER RESULTS The Alison Cunningham Trophy was won by Megan Willis of Old Nene who played Katie Nicholl of Menzies. The result of 7 and 6 looks like a comfortable win but that is not so Katie played well and gave Megan 12 shots but Megan matched Katie shot for shot and holes were lost only by a margin of one. Well done to both girls for getting to the final both competitors beat some of our best County players to play here. |

Junior Team Results 1st & 2nd Team V Hertfordshire. 1st Team DRAW, 2nd Team WIN!! Junior Girls County Match v Hertfordshire A windy day at the Links, Newmarket caused a few problems for some girls, but the 1st Team halved and the 2nd Team won against Hertfordshire. Sophie Nicoll and Chalani Allen from the 2nd Team made their team debut and all the girls seemed to have had an enjoyable day. Having halved to Essex back in April, this will put the 1st Team in a good position to do well in the East Region Girls league. Forthcoming matches are as follows: Sat 26th June v Suffolk - Stowmarket GC Sun 15th August v Bedfordshire - Brampton GC Sun 22nd August v Norfolk - The Norfolk Golf & Country Club |

Junior Championship 2010. 4th time win for Miranda!! Miranda Brain was the Champion for the 4th time and took the coveted Scratch Salver with a score of 150 (74+76) for the day. This included an eagle 3 on the final hole of her round. Sarah Smith took the Handicap Cup with a nett score of 145 (73+72). The 18-hole Stableford was a hard fought battle between Chloe Ashman and Sophie Nicoll with Chloe winning on count-back when both girls came in with magnificent scores of 48 points each. They've both cut their handicaps by 6 shots! The venue was superb and the weather couldn't have been better. 20 girls entered the girls championship at the Gog Magog Old Course this year with many making their debut. Three e vents took place: 36-hole Championship - Scratch Salver 36-hole Championship - Handicap Cup 18-hole Stableford Trophy 9-hole Trophy The 9-hole trophy was won by first time entrant Chiara Hallam with a solid score of 19 points. The Biddy Wade Trophy winner was announced as Laura Tuttle from Links, Newmarket with a fabulous average of 7.25. This score also won her a place to represent the East Region in the final of the Abraham Trophy, which is being played just before the English Girls Golf Championship at Market Rasen Golf Club, Lincolnshire on Monday 26th July. |

Junior Girls Get Together and Prize giving - See Diary. Come along to a pre-season get together, meet old friends and hopefully make some new ones. Participate in our Golf indoor team competitions and a quiz (adults included) - Prizes on offer. Presentation of Trophies to all the winners together with a talk of what's happening in the coming year. Parents welcome.
