AUSTRALIAN SPOONS REGIONAL FINAL - ELY CITY GOLF CLUB

Colne Valley’s Sheree Don and Susan Gilbert romped to success in the Australian Spoons, an English Women’s Golf Association competition for club golfers with handicaps 21-36. In the East Region Final played at Ely City Sheree and Susan put together a solid round of golf to score an excellent 39pts to take top spot ahead of second placed Suzanne Shaw-Smith and Marie Gilger (Stoke by Nayland) who scored 36 pts. The home pair of Pat McAllister and Marion Hough finished 3rd with 35 pts.
Sheree and Susan qualify for the National Final being played at Kedleston Park, Derbyshire on 17th September, where they compete against the other five regional winners.
