Disappointing finale for the Girls 1st Team

It was a disappointing finale to the East Region Girls Junior league at Great Yarmouth GC in Norfolk, resulting in the girls 1st team finishing in 4th position, having being joint leaders at the start of the day. This was due primarily to us not having our top players there and being up against Norfolk and Hertfordshire in a 3-way match play event, which were always going to be difficult opponents, even with our strongest team. Katie Nicoll saved the day by stepping in for Amy Rae at 8am on the day of the match, who unfortunately was struck down by a sick bug during the night.
The team consisted of: Chelsey Herbert, Sarah Smith, Beth Peckham, Claire Tuttle, Laura Tuttle and Katie Nicoll.
The team were completely whitewashed 6-0 by Hertfordshire but managed to claim 2.5 points from Norfolk with Chelsey halving her match against Rebecca Heeles and Laura and Claire winning both their matches.
Hertfordshire were the overall winners of the league by winning four of their matches and only halving one.
