Scratch Foursomes Knockout Final

Sarah Greenall and Marcella Tuttle (Links) finally claimed the Cambs and Hunts Ladies Scratch Foursomes title, having previously finished as runners-up two years ago.
At Menzies Golf Club they took on the new pairing of Sue Hill and Jacqui Storey (Girton). The rain started as the players made their way to the first tee, but quickly cleared to provide near perfect conditions. Hill and Storey found trouble off the 1st tee and had to drop out of a ditch. With Greenall and Tuttle well placed down the centre of the fairway they won the first hole.
Hill and Storey recovered their composure to half the second hole but the greater County experience of Greenall and Tuttle proved decisive and with solid play from tee to green and excellent putting they put together a run of seven consecutive pars to reach the turn 7 up. They closed out the match 8 and 7, when Hill and Storey could only halve the 11th hole.
